The Field Trip

Men can be so vague and you have to ask the right questions to get ANY details. So here is how the field trip went.... Matt chaperoned Cody's class and he did much better than last year when I was the chaperone. This year, he listened better and enjoyed the entire field trip. He ate well, but became squirmy when he had to sit and wait on everyone to finish their lunches. Carleigh had to eat with her class so Matt saw her from a distance. She sneaked away one time to say hi to big brother and her daddy.

When they first arrived at the farm, it wasn't raining. They enjoyed the tractor ride and animals before the downpour began. Luckily for Cody's group that the rest of the activities were indoors. The ball pit was the hit again and one of Cody's teacher jumped in and got him out when the group was leaving. Matt enjoyed it, but you could tell this was new territory for him having never chaperoned a field trip before. I think next year, I will plan on going with Carleigh and Matt will go with Cody if they go there again next year. I really wanted to go with Carleigh, but it didn't work out.

Cody's class had to wear salmon colored tie-dyed shirts and Carleigh's class wore yellow shirts. Matt said it was a little weird seeing boys wearing pink colored shirts. Ha Ha HA!! Both kids fell asleep on the bus ride back to school. No doubt everyone had a fun time!

So sorry you had to miss it, Jenn. But at least Daddy was there and they had a great time. Hope next year is your turn again.
Blessings,
