Carleigh loves to roll cars along the carpet. Methinks she has a bit of tomboy in her....do you think it might have something to do with having an older brother?

And we have pig tails.....finally!!
Carleigh's hair is now long enough for pig tails....what fun we will have with hairstyling!
Looking at the ducks at Winton Woods!
Matt and I took the children on a walk at Winton Woods yesterday. We watched to ducks swim, had ice cream, and Cody liked to run his fingers all the ribbed walls of the park. We had a blast! We wish the rain would've held out a bit longer but everyone had a fun time.
She is lovin' the new stroller!
I bought a new umbrella stroller today, so we took it to the park with us. The double stroller can be awkward and I only use it when I am by myself. Now we have 2 umbrella strollers and also the big, red car, and the wagon for 2 to stroll the kids in style.

I love to climb on the couch!
Lately, for Carleigh, her favorite thing to do is climb onto the couch! She loves to climb and get into anything and everything possible!!
Checking the sea for invaders!
Today, we had a play date with my friends Jen, her daugher Avery, Arica, her son Joey, Andrea, and her daughter Emma at the Go Play Cafe in Mason. Cody and Carleigh had a blast playing in the large ship-like clubhouse, cooking food in the kitchen, and playing with in the playhouse! It was great meeting up with some friends that I haven't seen in awhile! Each lady has experienced the same struggles with infertility as I have and it was such a blessing to see all the miracles, some by adoption and some through birth. Cody and Carleigh had so much fun that they were asleep before we left the parking lot as we were heading home!

Heat Wave!
We are having quite a heat wave here in Ohio and across the Midwest USA. Yuck! I cannot tolerate these high temperatures. I am very thankful for our centrail a/c in the house. However, our van a/c is not working. So that means, no extra trips to the store or out for any reason. I have been a homebody for the past 4 days or so which to a working mom, can be a bit daunting! My dad is working on the problem and a companythat he deals with is trying to fix it for less money or order the piece if they cannot fix it. Cody and I took a little stroll in his big, red car this morning before the extreme temperatures hit. It really stinks that we are cooped in the house due to the heat! My kids love to play in their superyard or swim or take wagon rides. It could reach to 100 in the middle of the week. Come on storms!! July heat is the worst!!

Mamaw and Papaw bought me this shirt!
My parents went to Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mtns on vacation and brought back Cody and Carleigh cute tshirts. Here they are wearing their tees today.
All smiles wearing her sun hat!
Amazingly, Carleigh will allow t he sunhat to stay on her head. I think she realizes it protects her from the sun and so that she can see better.
My climber!
Carleigh is my climber! She has learned to climb into her toybox as well as climb onto the sofa. There is no stopping her now!

The Sweetest Words
Cody is beginning to talk. Last night, while tucking him into his crib, I gave him his baby doll. He smiles, cuddles it, and then says "baby." The moment was priceless and brought tears to my eyes. My precious, gift from God is beginning to talk! Praise God! I didn't know if he would ever be able to talk, but he proves me wrong every day. He is learning so much and I cannot wait to astound teachers, specialists and the genetist next year when they see what he can do! I strongly feel that he is getting ready to have a language explosion! I am so proud of my little boy! He can say three words now: Momma, ball, baby To some, that isn't a big deal because with Cody being 2 1/2 yrs, he should be saying 1,000 words, but to the Momma of this special needs little boy, it means the world to me!! Way to go Code-man!!

Enjoying that Hamilton 4th of July Parade
We went to the city of Hamilton's annual 4th of July parade at 2pm. It is the longest parade of the year. Other than the heat, it was a great parade! Cody loved the drums and the flashing lights of the fire trucks and ambulances.
