Mr. C's IEP Meeting

Mr. C had his annual IEP meeting this morning. It went well. We are on the same board with behavioral issues and a clear understanding that he cannot help his outbursts, tamtrums, and inattentiveness. I am praying that we get an appointment very soon before the school year is over since it is significantly affecting his education and overall life in general.

It was cute hearing what he has been doing in school. Recently, he told George Washington (on one of the coins he is so obsessed about!) "Good morning" and "How are you doing?" It's sweet to discover that he also puts his arm around his teachers and tells them, "You are my best friend." Yes, he has QUITE a lot of "best friends."' I love my boy so much! I just wish we had the help and medicine he needs NOW instead of  LATER. We are all just so frustrated and concerned for him.

Miss Cinderella keeps getting glowing reports from school and I have seen an increase in her knowledge of math facts. So glad to have at least one child going in the right direction!

Update

We are doing well. Everyone is healthy and so far no one has gotten the flu or anything major. The kids had a great Valentine's Day with candy, stuffed animals, and money. Cinderella is excited about getting a new DS game. Mr. C is saving his birthday money for the summer. We are hoping to go to the beach this year. I cannot wait to get away as we haven't had a real vacation since Disney.

Cinderella's birthday will be here in less than a month. She is so excited! We are enjoying a 3 day weekend here, boy do we need it!

Cinderella is still getting awesome notes from school and we are STILL waiting for an appointment for Cody to see the specialists. We appreciate prayer that we will get an appointment soon.

Busy weeks

February is very busy for me at school for a million reasons which is my reason for not blogging. No exciting family news to report. The kids are excited about Valentine's Day. Cinderella has Barbie valentines this year and Mr. C has Peanuts.

We have had no snow days still and are wishing for a snow fall during the week that will give us at least one day off work!

I am in the early stages of planning Cinderella's birthday. We're going to do something a little different this time and will probably do something similar next year with Mr. C's birthday.
