Friday Fun

On Good Friday, we talked about Jesus dying on the cross and how he arose again on Sunday. We then dyed eggs and decorated chicks and bunnies before our family egg hunt. On Saturday, we baked and decorated a bunny cake and on Sunday we are going to make "Resurrection Rolls" to explain the empty tomb. Of course, I'll be posting pics of my duo in their coordinating Easter duds. I do think they will be ADORABLE in them on Sunday morning!

A Hunting we will go!

I had to hide the eggs at least 5 times yesterday! And of course Carleigh told me to hide my eyes while she hid them. She is really into egg hunting this year.

We had an egg hunt with Matt's family despite the spotty showers. (Thus the reason why I didn't take pics...not gonna ruin my camera!) It was a bit cooler and windy today. Carleigh went nuts hunting eggs and Cody was too interested in eating candy to look for alot of eggs. Cody and Carleigh enjoyed the baskets from their grandparents.

Thursday's Park Adventures

After dinner, we hit another favorite park of ours. The kids enjoyed climbing, sliding and swinging at the very large wooden fort. I also sneaked a walk for my enjoyment more than the kids. We are so enjoying our Spring Break! Another park and walk is scheduled for today plus a few more fun activities. I do NOT want this week to end!

A walking we will go

After playing on the playground, we hit the walking trail that goes behind a subdivision. During the hike, we discovered a neighborhood playground (I have been there before due to my first every GAP party at school was hosted there) and the kids had a BLAST!

Merry-Go-Round

The kids had a blast on the merry-go-round! I stepped onto it and Carleigh proceeded to spin me around and around and around. I was quite dizzy afterward.

Tired, dirty and happy

At the end of our mini-walk (compared to a 6 mile walk) the kids were exhausted! Cody saw a bench about 10 yards away and cried, "I sit DOWN!" And he plopped himself on that bench for 5 minutes! Carleigh found a mud patch and wouldn't you know it that she fell in it?!!

Wednesday in Pictures

Wednesday, the kids and I had a lot of fun going to the park and playing outside. I also posted a pic of our new truck. It's 4 years old with very little mileage. Matt drives it mostly so he refers to it as "his" truck. We are enjoying all the sunshine and wonderful temps. Today we are going to get again and enjoy every minute of this weather.

Yesterday, I bravely took the kids to the park by myself. It went well other than Cody's wanderings which gave me lots of extra exercise!
